This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial
redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on
a website or the like. My site is down for rebuilding, but sooner or
later the old stuff should reappear at omeyer.gmxhome.de

Mag-Lev Maintenance Car v1.0 (TL10)
  Copyright 2008 by Onno Meyer

This specialized car is used to maintain magnetic levitation rails on
worlds with little or no atmosphere. The Maintenance Car carries a work
party, a supply of spare parts, and a workshop for on-site repairs. One
airlock leads to the monorail track, the other has a telescoping ladder
to get down to the ground (where the track is elevated on pylons). The
car is designed to return at the end of each shift, so there are no
living quarters.
The mag-lev car might fit into Traveller games where contragrav is
less effective (or more expensive) than described by GURPS Traveller.
