Hi,

your WMS server is not a WMS-c server, but since you are using geoserver 
you can try enabling geowebcache for your WMS layers so the tiles will 
be stored in your GEOWEBCACHE_DATA_DIR. Then you can try configuring 
your layer in the layers.txt using EPSG:900913, take the rest of the 
params (bbox, resolutions, etc.) from the OSM layer.

I think that will work.
