I have also faced the same problem so, supposing that you have Terrasync installed on your Trimble JUNO 3B you can follow these steps or even if you don't have it you can follow the steps written below because the reason why it happens is sometimes the NMEA output is switched off by default. We will use a different software "GPS controller" available with Trimble and they will provide it free of cost if you ask them or even it can be found online on their website.
For this you please follow the following steps:
1. Unistall gvSIGMobile from Trimble Juno3B.
2. Copy the "phoneme" folder to the root of the device, i.e. at My Device. (if you have downloaded the zipped of phoneme).
3. Go to "My Device\phoneme\pesonal\bin" and click on config file, a new form shall come. Check all the checkboxes there. Click ok and get out of there.
4. Install the GPS Controller and go to the setup menu there in that software. Go to GNSS settings and you can see an oiption to switch on or off the NMEA output which need to be set ON there.
5. Then install gvSIGMobile 0.3 and restart the Trimble device.
6. Now it should work fine.

Hello, yesterday I have purchase an Trimble Juno 3B PDA/GPS.
this PDA work on windows 6.5 (Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5 Professionnal).
I want to instal gvsig mobil 0.3 on my Trimble but I have a problem:
-when I use the .CAB installer
"gvSIG_Mobile_Pilot-0.3-WM2003-withPhoneME.cab", installation is OK but when
I start the application I just can see the start screen (the application
crash).
-when I use the PhoneMe and Gvsig mobile separately
(gvSIG_Mobile_Pilot-0.3-WMX-forPhoneME.cab and phoneME Advanced - Personal
Profile b168 rev20547 (2011-11-16) download on
http://davy.preuveneers.be/phoneme/?q=node/10) Gvsig work but with a lots of
bugs: impossible to navigate in different repositories to select layer,
Manual Pan is not disponible, the connection to the GPS make crash the
application (with a "bip bip bip" sound).
Have you a solution to instal GVSIG 0.3 correctly on my Trimble GPS?
