Actually, for me, I kind of use both the Victor Reader Stream and the Book
Sense. I use the stream for most audio books since I have found that I have
lost my place in the Booksense. I use my Booksense for music and recordings,
and the radio. I bought my Booksense mainly for the radio since the stream
doesn't have one.

Hello Rich. I'm sorry that your experience with the BookSense has been
less than favorable. I'll address each of your points below.

I completely agree that this should not be happening. This was a
dominate problem with version 1.0 of the firmware and was fixed in
version 1.1 which was released in August 2009. If you are still
experiencing this problem with the 1.1 firmware where none of your NLS
books are keeping their place, can you give me an example of 1 or 2
books where this is constant so we can determine why it is that your
specific books are having these issues?

If I understand the problem you are describing, it's like a record which
has been stuck and is playing the same syllable over and over. Usually
pressing pause and then play again resolves the issue. This has been
fixed for the new firmware which we will have out in the near future.

> 3. My Booksense will never save bookmarks.

This one is a bit vague. Do you mean that it will not save bookmarks in
any place whatsoever? I.E. document reader, daisy or media? Do you mean
only one of these or a certain type of book or file? Specifics are what
we need in order to help you get this resolved.

I don't have this specific book, but will report this to HIMS so they
can look atr this since they are in direct communication with Audible? I
personally have never experienced any problems with any Audible books,
but I know that others have and HIMS does note these to find out what
the problem is.

The issues you are having are indeed frustrating and I apologize for all
the trouble you have gone through, however I don't understand why you
are having them in the first place. The common things here seems, as you
pointed out, that none of your places are saved in any of the modes of
the BookSense. I'd like to investigate this further to try and find out
what the cause is because this seems unique to your BookSense.

Many thanks.
