Chantel,
Try doing a reset by depressing the little button inside the tiny hole
located just below your lock switch with a stylus or tooth pick. Just gently
press it and release. It then takes probably 20 or 30 seconds to reset
itself and reinitialize. Another way would be to disconnect the battery and
replace it after a few seconds. The Book Sense needs to be reset every once
in a while, but should come back just fine.. You are correct about the lock
switch. It should be away from you and in the position nearest the top of
the unit. Try the reset procedure and see if that doesn't bring things back
for you.
