Hi all. This may be of interest to some who are wanting a Bluetooth aware hearing aid pairing with the Book Sense.
Phonak's Smartlink+ is Bluetooth fitted, and I have just paired this with th eBook Sense. Very easy and straightforward: The Book Sense correctly identified the Smartlink and all is go. Because of Smartlink technollogyh - the signal is mono (which I don't mind for speech) and the music playback is awful. A very similar speech quality to a.m. radio. Controls of the Book Sense dose seem a bit sluggish. I started this topic hoping to pair with the ICOM also from Phonak, as this wil be stereo and overlal audio quality will be closer to what one can get from other MPC devices. I think it might be helpful when the manual is updated to make specific mention of Bluetooth aware hearing aids. All thi sinterest on my part means one less piece of audio hardware to pay attention to. Vaughan. email: [email protected]. Telephone: +649 299 5390.
