Hello. For the most part, any external speakers will work. I have tried
several which are small ones which rest on top of the BookSense. I've
also tried larger ones which do not rest on top, but then the cord is
something you have to carry around with you. So my suggestion is that if
you will be using external speakers, you will not be very mobile. One I
recommend is the Craig cma3000 speakers. They are folding speakers and
have excellent sound to them, 10 watts, and a frequency response between
100 and 20 thousand Hz. Very nice for those situations when you want to
share your BookSense audio with a group of people. We also have at GW
Micro, a small rounded speaker which looks like a hamburger. We have 2
of them, one is red and the other is white. So they will match your
BookSense color. I don't have the specs on the hamburger speakers, but
they have good sound to them as well in my opinion.
Many thanks.

Hey, for those of you that own 2 booksense, have you had them side by
side to hear the volume differences? It would be interesting to hear the
difference between 1.1 firmware and 2.0. I think it is a larger
difference than I originally thought.
With that said, it would be nice to know of a safe external speaker we
could plug into the booksense. I have no desire to break my bs speaker,
so I understand the lower volume issue, but it is too quiet to share a
book with a friend. I don't like to go much higher than vol 15-16 or so.
I remember there was a person on here a few months back selling an
external speaker. *Smile,* I guess I'd like the all clear from hims or
gw, before I try such a thing.
Happy Holidays all,
