Hi, Well, my sister came over tonight and helped me try and find the extra drive with the card and there was absolutely no extra drive anywhere. We then went and I bought a card reader and it worked perfectly with the card reader. I put the firmware file on the card and then put the card into the BookSense and it upgraded perfectly without any problems.
I remember when I first received my BookSense I tried plugging it into the computer itself and it wouldn't work at first without the SD card inside. I was instructed that initially to get the BookSense to work at first you need to put the SD card inside to initialize. I put the card inside, still not realizing it was supposed to show me another drive, and the BookSense worked just fine initializing, so I'm really not sure how that happened. Of course after the initial connection I could use my BookSense XT without the card. I am a little confused still why without a card reader the SD card doesn't show up, but it seems that my problem is solved. Thanks everyone for all your suggestions!
