Zach,
I am enjoying the Bluetooth on my Book Sense XT, but I sometimes have connection problems with my Plantronics 590 headset. Since Bluetooth radio signals are rather weak, they are easily blocked by obstructions, even by the body itself. I carry my Book Sense on the same side as the Bluetooth receiver in the headset to minimize this problem.

I have also found that I can lose the connection if no data is being sent. I need to either start content playing or move around in the folders or menus within a few seconds of starting a connection to keep the connection alive. I don't have this problem when using the same headset with my iPod Touch.

As for music quality, I suspect it has to do with the amount of money you are willing to spend for a headset. The Sony headset that GW Micro sold as an accessory for the Book Sense wasn't very good for music, but was adequate for spoken audio. I like the music quality I'm getting with the 590. I'm sure music from the Book Sense would also sound good through my Nokia Bluetooth Audio Gateway connected to the Bose Wave Music System if I could get it to pair. Maybe I should give pairing another try since the firmware has changed a couple of times since I tried it the first time.

Subject: [GW-Booksense] bluetooth on XT model

Hi

i am seriously planning to order a booksense but wondering if most of
the peanut gallery here, has favored the XT over the less expensive
model. I know what bluetooth is, and what it will accomplish with the
player, but i'm grappling with weather to spend the extra $150 for a
wireless system. Is the bluetooth connection reliable? Are you
satisfied with the results you are getting? Would you say yeah, its
worth the extra money?

Thanks
