Just out of curiosity, will the I-Pod handle our DAISY type books say from Book Share or News line? I know they come with speech, though I haven't looked at that technology in a while and just wonder.
As far as reading speed, for reading a book just for the sake of reading, I don't push the speed up too much. I don't necessarily need or want to rush. Human narrators drive me nuts because you can never get them sped up right it always seemed. Now, on my computer and doing word processing, I am running nearly 80% because otherwise, it slows the computer down too much. I hate to say it, but it'll take some getting use to, having Kate or Paul reading me articles. I've just got into the NFB in your pocket, BTW, brilliant concept, but I find both Kate and Paul rather garbled while reading an article. I have slowed them way down, to see if that helps. Overall, I quite like the booksense voices; I'm hoping I'll just need to listen to more material to get use to their style. *smile* A little side note, the voice on the iPod products, far more clear. Is that Samantha? Traci ----- Original Message ----- From: "qubit" <[email protected]> To: "Terri Pannett" <[email protected]>; "Dianne B.
