I much prefer the way the forward and rewind and book navigation work on both the victor reader stream and advanced nls dtbm. I have A weekend potcast that is in 3 parts I much enjoy listening to on a local radio station. It's so much easier to navigate through it on the nls player or victor reader stream. I don't have to keep using the up and down arrows to change the time I want to jump by. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Christopher Chaltain" <[email protected]>

For me, I prefer the way it works on the Booksense. I've never used a
Stream, but I find the NLS player to be too slow. I don't need to hear it
telling me how much it's moving forward, and that's even after I cut down on
it's verbosity. It's obviously faster than it was with those old cassette
players, so no complaint there. The advanced NLS player is much better in
this sense since you can move ahead by the DAISY markups, but in a sense the
fast forward and rewind are even more frustrating on the advanced player,
since I usually resort to it when I've already gotten to the chapter I want,
and I just want to use the fast forward and rewind controls for some fine
tuning. Ah well, that's just my opinion.

I actually like the way it works better on the nls dtbm and my victor reader

stream.

Yeh, I suspect that's what's being asked for, but I think you get similar
functionality by doing the following:
1. Use the up or down arrow keys to get to the time interval.
2. Set the time interval to 1 minute, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, ..., or so on
with the left and right arrow keys.
3. Arrow down to the jump by time option.
4. Use the left and right arrow keys to jump by the time interval you just
set.

I think he's talking about the way the forward and rewind work on the nls
dtbm. You can hold down the forward and rewind key and it will take big
jumps in the book.

Yes what you do is it is with the arrow keys.
The left and rit arrows move you forward and back.
the up and down arrows move to the line, paragraph or word by word.
I hope this helps.
