I have both a book sense and a victor reader stream. I use them both
primarily to listen to nls books. You can't speed the book sense up as
much as you can with the stream. I have to use a speaker with my
stream; I don't need to do this with the book sense. I can't address
your recording questions.

Original message:
Well, I'm again contemplating the purchase of a portable player. I'm
calling on the wisdom of the list to pass on how the Book Sense rates
compared to the Book Port and Stream. I'm interested in overall
impressions, any flaw or benefit I don't mention here, and in these
questions:
Can you speed up the tts or human voices fast enough?
Are there any limitations with line-in recording?
If you have one, how does recording in general compare to that on the Book
Port Plus?
How does playback of NLS books compare to that on either of the other
players?
Thanks for any feedback.
