I think the BookSense isn't as fast as other players. You can only
make it go up to speed 5 while the stream can go to 10 and BPP can go
to 8. IN my opinion the BookSense isn't as responsive as the other
players when speeding up and slowing down. For example you can hit the
speed up key on the BPP rapidly and it will respond as fast as you can
press the key. However, with the BookSense the unit takes a little
longer to respond.
Are there any limitations with line-in recording?
The answer to this is no. However, some Line in recordings I made did
not play on my computer with windows media for some reason. If you
don't listen to files on your computer you shouldn't be concerned with
this too much.
If you have one, how does recording in general compare to that on the Book
Port Plus?
The BPP's recorder is supeerior to the BookSense's. There are many
options to taler the unit to the environment so the best recordings
can be made. The unit also monitors recording levels automatically or
you can manually do this. It is really amazing what types of recording
you can make with the BPP.
My thoughts.
I think the BookSense is a great player for music and the BPP a great
player for NLS and audio books. I own them both and this is the way I
use them. If I didn't have a player currently I would purchase the BPP
because it is currently cheaper and the WiFi feature has many
possibilities. I hope this helps.

much as you can with the stream. I have to use a speaker with my
stream; I don't need to do this with the book sense. I can't address
