I had the same exact problem. The only solution is to send it back to GW Micro. They will have to send it back to HIMS, so you will have a fairly long wait, but in the end, it will work.

I've been using my BS for 10 months now and recently I've discovered that I couldn't use the navigation keys or other keys at all. After doing multiple resets, both soft and hard, I discovered that the slider lock switch may be faulty. With the switch in the 'up' position the unit will alternate between the locked and unlocked state, sometimes announcing the change, sometimes not. By switching the slider down and then up I can somtimes get the buttons to work properly for a minute or two and then without warning the unit is locked again.

I don't know if the mechanical construction of the switch is one of those delicate pc-board things which is easily worked loose or not. But my guess is that something has gone awry with the switch. Anyone have this experience? And Raoul, how should I proceed?

Turn right, then go straight!

        Jeremiah 29:11-14 (Amplified Bible)

11For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.

12Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear and heed you.

13Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.(A)

14I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will release you from captivity and gather you from all the nations and all the places to which I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I caused you to be carried away captive.
