I have noticed that The BookSense is cutting off about 5 seconds off of the end of MP3 audio files that are about one hour in length. these files make up an audio book that I download from our library's Overdrive service.
I am using the DAISY Book Generator to create DAISY audio books on my PC before I copy them on to the BookSense. When I take the MP3 files and put them under the Audio Folder on the BookSense, the entire MP3 file is played. When I run the DAISY Book Generator then copy the folder into the DAISY folder on the BookSense, often the last five seconds or so is cut off for each MP3 audio file. I don't have any other digital audio player so I have not determine if this problem is BookSense specific or if it is a DAISY Book Generator problem. One thing I do know for certain is that if I download an MP3 audio book directly into a folder under the DAISY folder on the BookSense then run the DAISY Book Generator on it, the BookSense does not play the book. I have to download it on to my PC first, run the DAISY Book Generator, then copy the folder into the DAISY folder on the BookSense for it to work properly. My work-around is not to generate a DAISY book and just use the Audio Player on the BookSense. Which is OK for when I get books through Overdrive, but is not should I get a DAISY book on a CD or other form of media to copy on to my BookSense.
