Thanks, yes I've noticed this as well. When the BookSense gets to the
end of a book in the DAISY reader, it stops even though it reports that
there is time left. I think the time information is part of the data
stored in the SML files. So I don't know why there is a discrepancy. And
this usually only happens when the MP3 audio files are an hour or so in
length.

I have not checked to see if the BookSense reports time remaining in the
media player when it gets to the end of a file.

Subject: Re: [GW-Booksense] BookSense Cutting Off the End of DAISY Audio
Recordings

Vic,

I don't know if this has anything to do with your problem, but there is
something strange about how the BookSense handles audio files on DAISY
books. I
have noticed that it seems to read to the end of NLS books, but that
when I get to the end of a book, the BookSense reports that 20 seconds
of so remain.
This varies with the book. In the case of the NLS books, this is not a
problem, but I don't think I've ever seen the time remaining get down to
zero. If there
is some sort of mis-tracking, it would seem this could result in cutting
off the ends of some files.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson

but is not should I get a DAISY book on a CD or other form of media to
copy on to my BookSense.
