The reply to sender is NOT commonly used. I've been on many many lists
over the years and it does not matter if they are blind related or not. For
whatever reason GW Micro does this, its set in stone and that is that. We
can live with it since GW will not change it.

Vic,
You must be subscribed to a lot of lists other than those associated with
assistive technology. Aside from the GW Micro lists, all of the assistive
technology lists I subscribe to are set up to Reply to the list. These
assistive technology lists include Book Port Plus, Accessible Phones, 2
JFW lists, Open Book, KNFB Readers, PC Audio and Talks. For those who
want to always send messages to the GW Micro lists, Control+Shift+r is the
easiest way, but it does send duplicate messages to the original sender of
the message. Since GW-Micro list policy is set in stone, those who like
it this way won't have to worry, and those who don't, need not complain.

This is quite common to other lists to which I am subscribed. The intent
is to reduce those replies that do not benefit the majority of people
who are receiving the messages. Those would be messages such as "I
agree", "way to go", "you rock", etc.
The downside is that people get used to pressing control+shift+R for
everything so those types of messages that are meant for an individual
begin to sneak through any way.

Hi all, especially the list owner --
Is there any reason not to have replies from the list default to the
list
rather than to the individual?
I almost always prefer to send my replies to the list, and often forget
to
make the relevant keystrokes.
Just a thought.
Thanks for listening.
