yes, and let's all remember that lists for things other than access technologies do exist. In fact, it is the list norm to have replies to to the sender instead of the list. And yes, it's done to cut down on off topic postings such as this one.
When we had the list set the other way, the traffic was much higher and contained a lot more irrelevant posts, and we received many private complaints about the list traffic because of it. This is why gw-info and gw-booksense are this way. If gw-notetaker got as bad, it too would be changed. In my Thunderbird tutorial part 2, I demonstrate how it only takes 3 seconds to respond to a gw-info message despite the reply defaulting to the sender. Have a good weekend.
