Might the card be either too full or defective in some way? I keep short messages in my record folder as well, not too many, but a few and so far, have not had that problem.

When I listen to one, 2 or 3 or start to delete one or more of the messages, I hear this sound, so hard to describe, crackling, tapping, scratchy type sound, not the sound that sometimes the Book Sense and the Voice Sense make before locking up, the dull little clang sound, not that one, I can listen to perhaps one or 2 more messages, or delete one or 2 more messages and then the Book Sense simly locks up, not even the clock works, as mentioned, by removing the battery and then putting it back in, or using the reset button, the Book Sense works fine. Occasionally when either listening to or deleting voice messages from the record folder on the flash disk, I get this sound, almost impossible to describe, kind of crackling, I can listen to, or delete another message, or the sound occurs a couple more times and then the Book Sense locks up. Taking the battery out and replacing it gets the BS working again. This seems to only happen when working in the record folder. Any thoughts?
