Hi, have you tried the IE max script. have you tried using window-eyes
with skype? With scripts installed skype is useable. Without them well I
just used to switch to jaws because quite frankly jaws worked with skype and
window-eyes did not. Have you tried using it with the focus control script?
I have a ftp server here that well I just would switch to jaws for because I
wrote scripts to get to the controls that were not in the tab order. With
window-eyes pressing the focus control hot key listed the controls and no
need for me to write my own window-eyes script.

Used window-eyes with progress bars of late? Well window-eyes give you many
ways of reading them. This is with scripts of course. Without them you just
had a hot key and well once again jaws read them better.

So you were saying about scripts?

Well, I'm probably going to be very unpopular for saying this but I've used
Window-Eyes without scripts up until now and I'm of the opinion to be honest
that the whole script thing is just one of those cases of, "we'll do it just
because we can" and I've not really seen anything that's going to make me
jump over the moon when it comes to scripting yet. Of course! these are
early days and there are problems and I now GW Micro to be a quality company
but I wonder whether we really need scripting at this point? How about
fixing a few long-standing issues in the product first?

With scripting turned off I have had no more loss of speech problems. It
would seem that scripting is potentially a great addition to WE but is also
potentially a big source of introducing problems into its operation.

Just a thought maybe scripting is why JAWS is so unstable.
