Hi, it's possible to have both screen readers run on one computer. I myself use both Jaws and Window-Eyes, and both run fine on my xp and Vista computer. I have actually been in a situation with my old computer where both screenreaders decided to conflict with each other and crash the computer. It was because the dcm was overriding, so it prevented both from running. Another problem was that I did not have the propper video drivers for my video card at the time. Since them, I got new computers, and both run fine. So if this collision thing happens to anyone else which i'm sure it won't but if it does, it's best to just install one product at a time on that computer witht hat problem. ----- Original Message ----- From: Rays Home To: [email protected] Sent: Sunday, September 07, 2008 8:56 AM Subject: removing video intercept from Window-Eyes hoste computer
Hope this makes sense, but I may be using Window-Eyes 6.1 on a friend's computer soon via an USB stick. I'll have to install video support which is straight forward; but how about removing it after I leave? Should he want to uninstall JFW or reinstall it I presume the video W-E intercept would prevent this? I look forward to replies. Ray.
