I find this information very reassuring and it relaxes my concerns a bit regarding WE and Firefox. I appreciate the candor and look forward to the overhaul. Please call upon me for private beta testing should the need arise.

Bob, you can certainly do as you choose, but RTE and previous position had problems in 6.1 also. Just search the archives for this list. We've been trying to solve all of this for a long time and have decided that browse mode needs a major overhall rather than just hacking on already problematic code. In the long run we will do things correctly to allow for multiple browse mode buffers at the same time, attribute changes within browse mode, ARIA support, and much more. In the process we will once and for all fix the previous position issue. If you step back and think about this rationally rather than an immediate emotional reaction I believe that putting this off so that we can do it correctly post 7.0 is the best use of our limitted resources to best serve all customers.

I agree with you Sam, read to end worked pretty well in WE until 7.0 beta
one came out. If this can't be fixed, I'll have to stick with 6;.1 and
start looking for a better screen reader!

I was just thinking that we should fix know problems in main functions like
browse mode before taking on new stuff like scripting.
