Actually, they are called Net books.
But any how. They are usable. Just the keyboard setup on them are different then a normal laptop. Some of them like the Dell Net book do not have all the F Row keys. And the shift key on the right is moved and so forth. They are good for note taking and checking email and so forth. But, far as anything else goes, it will have a hard time doing. I know the Dell can be upgraded with two gigs of ram if you know what you doing on changing out the ram in it. The only down size about them is the fact they only come in several size hard drives. 8 or 16 gig's if I remember correctly. And windows XP alone on one takes nearly 2 gig's of that space. But, if you got the money, you can buy a Bluetooth keyboard, and a head set, and just drop the thing in a back pack and you got you a high end notetaker to go. Cheaper then the notetakers are these days and you can get one of those blue tooth Braille display and make it even more user friendly. Matt.
