Hi Keith:

I should have been more clear. Under Users you need to disable the
accounts you are not using. You can right click (Window Context Menu
key) on My Computer than arrow down to Manage and press the Enter key.

When you navigate to the users again press the enter key on the user
accounts you are not using. Then you can tab to the check box to
disable the account.

Vic

Okay, I went to control panel, and add remove programs. I attempted to
uninstall all the .net updates, and I did succeed in removing some of
them, but two sp updates for the .net updates are still there. I then
did the control userpasswords2 thing in the run dialog box and unchecked
the box and restarted my system. The log on screen appeared again and
told me that there was a error in logging on. I was able to start the
system, but I'll stil pulling my hair out because of that screen.

If you also re-installed an HP printer you might find
that HP installed a new user account. Goto the Control Panel's User
Accounts section. If there is an HP user account, delete it.

windows xp

I recently installed win xp on my system and did all the
proper updates, (SP 2 and 3, and all importatnt updates). Well, my
system restarted after the last update took hold, and now I get a user
log on screen. My name is listed, and if I click on it, windows starts
up. There is no pleace for me to put a password, so I'm not sure if the
users option under control panel will work in removing this dialog box.
I would like the computer to just start into windows. Also, when my
system restarted after the updates, my screen reader (WE 7.1) is much
slower than when windows is running.

                Thanks

                Keith
