has anyone had any problems with service pack 3 for xp? when having it 
installed something tells me that the task mannager is not reporting the 
correct cpu usage.
is there a task mannager fix for xp for this, i know this is off topic so if 
there is anything  to fix this please email me off list

    You will need to contact MS support because this requires editing the
registry.  Once you do that you will be able to get the updates again
without meesing up the user accounts.  Since then I reinstalled XP (for
other reasons), installed only .NET Framework 2.0 and all its updates and no
issues with user accounts.
