Hello.
If you are using Windows Vista you can do what you want to do by setting
the
parent controls for the child's account. If you do this you will need to
password protect all administrator accounts on the machine. The only
problem
with this is it will not shut the machine down however it will log the
child
off at the set time and not allow them to log back into the machine.

okay, I have no idea what you'd call a program that has the capabilities
of
allowing the system administrator to set a specific time of the evening
that would shut the computer down, thus preventing my grandchildren from
accessing the computer pass a certain time of the night. I guess it's
some
kind of parent control. If there is software out there that will work
with
window eyes and don't have a bunch of bells and whistles, please send me
the
info. It would be much appreciated.
