This is not msa that is having this problem but the skype api it self. And yes these scripts need updating badly gw micro msn support and better skype support would be wonderful. Might want to look at the msn messenger aka windows live messenger scripts on script central and build from those. The skype scripts need to be updated for 4.1 the lists need to speak all the time and the types need to speak verses saying custom control every where. Also easy means of playing voice mail in 4.1 moving to points of interest and the list to enable
Program access to skype actually needs to track. Alt numbers to read chat messages the typing message in 4.1 and the list of last ten messages should actually show some thing useful. Windows live messenger. Using control shift arrows should report what is selected. Alt number commands for last message a list of the last ten messages A lot of this has already been done it just needs to be added to one salution. And you did some of this with dooling scripting at c sun. Are you listening GW? <Smile>. If you load Window-Eyes before Skype, this will happen. To resolve it easily, press Control-Shift-Windows-T. The script will say No active call or something like that, and everything will work. It seems that the Skype script is not very good at connecting to MSAA events automagically if Window-Eyes is run before Skype. If however, Skype is running and you close and reopen Window-Eyes, everything will work as expected. So another way to resolve this is to close and open Window-Eyes. All the best Steve _____ From: Steve Zielinski [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday 10 June 2009 13:47 To: [email protected] Subject: Question on skype scripts and auto speaking of changing status, inconsistent Hi, I hope someone can answer this question, it's been bothering me for a while. At times, while running skype 3.8, ith the latest scripts, I get automatic speaking of status messages, such as "away", "skype me", "online", "invisible", etcetera. These status messages pop up when people on your contact list change status or come online or go offline. Most of the time I don't hear these status messages automatically speaking. I have a friend who has experienced exactly the same inconsistent behavior with the same set up. We need to know what is going on and what should be done to make these status messages speak automatically all the time, no fuss, no muss. It is very puzzling. Also sometimes, when I read the title bar with ctrl-shift-t while in the contact list of skype, I hear the normal or maximized state of the window, other times, I don't get those window sizing messages. I don't think this has anything to do with the problem above, but just mentioning it, in case. Thanks so much for any help you can offer. In a jam here. Help would be surely appreciated.
