ok, you've shown it's nothing to do with roaming network profiles.

I'm waiting for GW support to chime-in here, I don't know why they
haven't so far.  it would be good to know if this is a known problem
anyway.

I don't change my set files very often, and so I'll go start
experimenting and let you know.

I see it's a problem many people are having, but I doubt it's one
everyone is having, or we'd see this kind of post all the time.
