I would definitely say the project of making a dirt buggy driveable for
a 
blind person is dumb, no matter what organization was behind it.  Cars
are 
lethal weapons and one careless mistake, whether it's by a sighted
driver or 
a blind person using one of these adapted buggies, could kill someone!
Like 
I said before, there are too many sighted drivers who shouldn't be
driving 
and the DMV is one big joke because they aren't strict enough.

The money spent on this project should have been spent on something
which 
really would have been of practical help to the blind.  One idea is to
make 
funds available to help people buy the adaptive products they need for 
independence and employment.  Just think!  If a product like the 
BrailleSense + could be subsidized so the end user could pay, say,
$500.00 
instead of the $5,995.00 that would be helpful!
