Notepad, Wordpad, Open Office... There are probably many alternatives
and Google is your friend. Oh yeah and eBay.

Subject: alternitive word processor for Word
I need an alternative word processor to replace Micro Soft Word that will
work with window eyes.. This note book came with a 60 day trial student
version of office with out outlook. Being that I have no need for Excell,
or Power point, I don't think it's worth paying $125 activation fee just
for MS word.
