You'll note, in my original message, I stated the first reason was
resources. The second was popularity. Let's not misquote here.
You refer to the scripts author?
Progress Bar Indicator

I was referring specifically to Doug. Remember, he's part of GW Micro.
He even acts like he owns the place. He's the one who wrote this script,
maintains this script, and noted back when the script was first released
that it didn't work with Mozilla progress bars. He has planned on
implementing it, and someday will.
I understand the popular demand issue but, I am just saying it's
interesting that msaa was going to be the best way for speech in aps.
Now it's not even added because of lack of popular demand.
I am just saying interesting.
It's not interesting at all, because the underlying implication of what
you're trying to say by not saying it is that MSAA support is lacking.
It's not; the support is there. The script simply needs to be updated to
provide progress bar support for Mozilla products. MSAA already is. It's
supported, implemented, suggested, and working. This is a script. An
enhancement over existing functionality. You'll note that the progress
bar hotkey in Window-Eyes works just fine in Mozilla. The script simply
needs updating, and that will be done when resources become available.
It has nothing to do with the viability, usefulness, or application of
MSAA itself.
It's also of matter of simplicity. Standard Windows progress bars are
very easy to obtain values from. MSAA progress bars take more work, thus
more development time, thus more...wait for it...resources.
If I didn't know any better, I'd think you would respond with something
like, "Well, is MSAA is so complicated, how is anyone expected to use
it?" But you're smarter than that.
