Hi, I'm not sure what happened with my computer but I haven't seen that phantom window since I ran and installed the latest windows update, and unchecked the toolbars in internet explorer 8. Don't know if this will help with your situation or not. but The ghost web browser window is now gone. Try that and keep us posted on what happens.
