That answers the first question, but I now need to know about the following:
When I check for an update, I'm informed windows sound recorder 1.01 is
available. After performing the update, the script manager informs me I'm
still running 1.0. I check again for an update, I'm informed there is an
update available. I can't seem to get this update to install.

When I run the script manager from the desktop, the windows sound recorder
script isn't in the script list.
If I run the script manager while windows sound recorder is running, then
it is in the script list. Is this the way it should work?
