Just to say, I'm not having this particular problem with the beta. Using xp
service pack 3, internet explorer 8 and the we beta with eight windows
opened, one being a radio station. 512k ram.
Hope what ever it is will get fixed for those having the situation.

The instability was there before the beta. My system crashed much more
often before then. I am using Windows 7 and the beta. Now, if it hangs,
I can usually close the program I was in and that usually allows me to
close and re-open WE. The biggest problem seems to be when switching from
one program to another, so you are never quite sure where you are in the
list when you alt tab. Sometimes, if I tap the shutdown button, speech is
restored, but I have to press enter on my user name login even though I am
the only user. At least this way, my open programs keep their status so I
don't lose my work.
