It is important to remember that many of us fall into the 95/5 rule. Meaning that roughly 95 percent of us use about five percent of the available features and options for most software applications.
In my case I find this is true with respect to Word, Excel, and Window-Eyes. And with an application such as power point, I know I use less than five percent of what is there, since I only use it to read presentations, I don't create any of them.
