In my very strong opinion, we should be very careful about any wish for Microsoft to include their own screen reader in windows because that may create a serious danger of us being stuck with one choice, theirs, and subject to whatever their level of dedication to it and doing a good job on it. I really don't think we want this. Companies dedicated to developing a screen reader, which could be argued that some in our industry are and some are not, have the focus of designing a screen reader. Microsoft would not ever consider it equally as high of a priority in my opinion. I also agree with the point that there would be serious question if they would develop anything that would work with products from other companies. Of course some or all of these views are speculation, however I think they highlight serious concerns that would result from such changes happening. I also don't think we want GW or any other specialized products company creating an email client. One, we don't want their resources going to that and two, it would not be what the rest of the world is using. We do not want to be creating our own little separate world that is incompatible with mainstream society.
