Chris Imitation in many ways is acknowledging the importance of certain enhancements. WE imitated scripting, after long publicly demeaning its value, because it could no longer avoid its value. Same goes for remote access and the other bells and whistles of the forthcoming 7.5 that JFW already has. If GWMicro did not deem those things as of value or demand from their customers, they would choose to either ignore them or place them down somewhere on the priorities list. When no screen reader can do something, then the given need can be deprioritized. When, however, someone somewhere comes up with the solution, others, when the demand is strong, must stop stonewalling and figure out if they too can do it. Some things, regardless of the demand or need, cannot be done regardless of effort or dollars; and, as much as we hate accepting that notion, that is reality. Of course, no company will come out and say that they cannot do it; but find other ways to doing it. That's good business practice as you would hardly want to tell your competition that, for the moment at least, you just cannot do this or that. That is telling others in the field of your weaknesses which, given the nature of free enterprise, will be exploited to your detriment. And your competition, if they know your weaknesses, will double and triple their efforts in that very direction. And that is the way it ought to be and works ultimately to the customer benefit.
