And, the browse mode issues don't just occur on the web either. If you use Outlook, and have messages set to be read in HTML, it will happen there too.

Window-eyes scripting is buggy, it causes crashes, and I ran into an issue last night on a user's machine where in word, arrowing up would not read the previous line even though there was text. Word was maximized, it could read everything if starting at the top or doing a read to end, but it would not read the previous line. The user was having lock-up issues previously, so I recommended that this person turn off scripting as the only scripts that were enabled were the defaults in 7.2 and this user never used those scripts. Guess what? Word worked, and the system seemed more responsive. I can't convince a state agency to get window-eyes when it doesn't work with many programs, it takes twice or three times as long to get anything done on the web because I am constantly turning off and on browse mode, refreshing the screen, etc etc. Again, hope that this next update with the UIA changes and the new interface that some of these issues will be resolved, but until browse mode is fixed and until GWmicro stops reacting to the screen reading market's innovations and actually lead the innovations and fix things in a semitimely manner, this will never happen. I'm sorry to say this. I am always open to change my mind if someone can tell me something that contradicts my statements. h, and for you users who are going to come on here and bash every word I say because you're wiling to pay for a product because it used to be the best and it used to be stable and the company has you convinced that they still are, then please don't respond on this list. Do it privately. I don't need to clog up this list with complaining, but I also don't want people who are going to say that window-eyes is the best when most haven't even looked at the competition.
