Hi, if you want all your sounds to come through your USB headset when you plug them in, and then to automatically come through your speakers if you unplug the headphones, then follow the steps below instead of the ones Jim gave you. Jim's instructions only redirected your window-eyes synthesizers sounds, and then only for certain ones, to your usb headset, while allowing windows sounds in general to still come through your speakers.
* plug in your usb headset * go into control panel, and windows sound choice, and in this dialog find the tab for playback devices. make the USB headset the default device. now that you've done this, if you unplug them, windows will fall back to using whatever was the default before this (which was your speakers), and when you plug them in again, since they're marked as the "default", windows will automatically switch to using your USB headset. since window-eyes is set to use the windows default device, it will usually do the same thing. * the one case where window-eyes will not follow the window default is with eloquence as the synthesizer, and windows being any version other than windows 7. if that's the case, you should download a script I wrote called "change sound card", which will make window-eyes follow the windows default device. hth, Chip -----Original Message----- From: Olusegun -- Victory Associates LTD, Inc. How can I set Window-Eyes use this as default instead of my desktop speakers? Hope I asked that question correctly, many thanks!!
