Hi Amanda. Maybe we are reading different posts. What I understood
Aaron to say is important stuff will be shared with the list but if you use
alternative media like twitter you might read information viewed not as
important and not deemed necessary for list consumption. Even then, list
members can and often do share what they read on twitterlike the information
about windows 7 service pack one.
So within days of the twitter post the list still gets the information GW might
not see as important enough to post here.
You get the news but it's like reading the morning paper instead of turning on
cnn or fox news.

Oftentimes there are security concerns and other restrictions with access to
Social Networking from our work and other environments. So just a thought that
although Social Networking is an appropriate method to inform others, please
would you perhaps re-consider the one just through social Networking or nothing
approach to distributing information?
Thanks so much!

If you don't use Twitter, that's fine. No one expects you to. But you also
lose out on the information being presented through our Twitter feeds. That's
just how it works. If you don't use it, you don't get the information. As I
mentioned, if something is really important, we post to all of our lists. This
was not that important.

Come on, Aaron. It only takes a second to send your tweet to the list. I
am another who doesn't want to mess with Twitter and I don't want the RSS feed
either. We're not all into social networking.
