hi, the problem I reported in the beta cycle has not been fixed. the problem is string are not being saved in float windows. in certain situations. lets provide an example. one start gold wave and make a new file. now define a window around the start marker location and the selected duration. now all we really want this window to read is the marker location. so we set this window to float. now we set the right to beginning of string minus constant the string we use here is ( and the constant value is 0. the window works grait and we can even set windows to read the start marker end marker selected duration etc. the next time window eyes is started all string are lost that use beginning of string minus constant. all other strings seem to be retained. hth
