Jim,
Can you provide any more info? One of the nice things about the new sets
being in XML is that we can easily read them. Here's the contents of a
quick test window:
<hyperactive_windows>
<hyperactive_window hwid="A" status="0" interrupt="0" comment="This is a
comment">
<trigger_information trigger="3" search_string="this is a contains string.">
</trigger_information>
<commands>
<command action="2" parameter="this is a string to speak."/>
<command action="0" parameter=""/>
<command action="0" parameter=""/>
</commands>
<coordinates>
<left position="0" offset="1"/>
<top position="0" offset="1"/>
<right position="0" offset="1"/>
<bottom position="0" offset="1"/>
</coordinates>
</hyperactive_window>
</hyperactive_windows>
As you can read, all the string possibilities were saved as expected. So
what are your exact steps, and your exact strings?

hi,
the problem I reported in the beta cycle has not been fixed. the
problem is string are not being saved in float windows. in certain
situations.
lets provide an example. one start gold wave and make a new file.
now define a window around the start marker location and the selected
duration. now all we really want this window to read is the marker
location. so we set this window to float.
now we set the right to beginning of string minus constant the string
we use here is ( and the constant value is 0. the window works grait
and we can even set windows to read the start marker end marker
selected duration etc. the next time window eyes is started all
string are lost that use beginning of string minus constant. all
other strings seem to be retained.
