You are correct, when I turned this option on, window eyes would not read
the message and I was told browse mode is not available.

this is not as safe as plain text mode because of viruses. but w e reads the
incomeing messages if you turn off read in plain text.
From: Paul Franklin then it will use browse mode to read the messages.
also I didn’t think of this. but do you have the preview pane turned off? w
e works better if it is off and it is more secure against viruses with it
off too.

Thanks I'll try reclassing and focusing on the window using a right click
and see if that helps. Do you have focus problems anywhere else in WLM? I
wonder why only some people have focus problems in the reading window?
Maybe I should try re installing WLM 2011.
Thanks for your ideas.
Paul

my problem is the message does not have focus. once you mouse click on the
opened message it will read and i can arrow through the text and it will
read. at least until i tab away from it. another thing i did was reclass
the message window as a edit box. i haven't tried any of the othere re
class options yet.
but it will read the message once. then the focus problem is back. it will
not speak again until you mouse click on it again.

Subject: Stil having a problem with WLM 2011
Recently I installed the Window-Eyes 7.5 upgrade on a Windows 7, 64 bit
Laptop running I E 8. I subsequently upgraded Windows Live Mail from WLM
2009 to W L M 2011, and I am currently unable to read the text of
incoming
messages with the cursor keys. I have the preview pain turned off and
the
screen is maximized. The current file association with WLM is
Msmail.set.
Everything reads like it should in WLM until I attempt to open a message.
I can't get the message window to read on its own. I can arrow up and
down to read the list of messages but when I open a message with the
Enter
Key the only way that I can read the text of the message is to read the
User window with ctrl-shft-W or to use the Mouse keys. If I attempt to
turn Browse Mode on with ctrl-shft-A I hear, Brows Mode not available.
Sometimes when I open a message, the subject of the message is re read,
but W-E always announces that I am in a Custom Control. I've tried
changing several settings in the control panel with out success. What
did
I mess up and how do I fix it?
Your thoughts and ideas will be appreciated.
