with me its app get i e enhanced and the quick startup. there must be some programming error in these apps that prevents the add remove apps update from detecting these apps. there has been 2 or 3 updates on these apps and have not been detected by add remove app dialog when you check for updates. they always show up when you go to the app get pull down ,set the view to show outdated. then they show up and you can update them and the nag screen will go away until the next update. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Zielinski" <[email protected]> To: "chris hallsworth" <[email protected]>; "Louis" <[email protected]>

This seemed to take care of the recurring installation of non existing aps for me. In my case, the outdated app was app-get itself. It stated it was version 1.0.4, updated May 10, 2011. After installing the "outdated" app, I stopped window-eyes, and restarted it with the hotkey and this time, for the first time in a couple days, WE started normally. I haven't yet sshut down the computer and start from scratch, but I think I will also have a successful, non-eventful start up.

Have all the folks found AppGet to be the offending program, version 1.0.4?

Hi.
1. Open App Get.
2. Press alt-v to open the view pulldown.
3. Press o to display the list of outdated apps.
4. Install any apps shown.
5. Continue until it says no outdated apps found.
Take care.

When I start Window Eyes I'm notified that at lease one of my aps has
an update available and I can update the aps by opening the add or
remove aps dialogue. However, when I do I'm notified that all my aps
are current. I've notified the GW staff about this but we weren't able
to figure out what the issue was. Do you guys have any suggestions?
Thanks.
