Use App Get to update outdated apps until the next Window-Eyes update
(which will be prior to 8).

This seemed to take care of the recurring installation of non
existing aps for me. In my case, the outdated app was app-get
itself. It stated it was version 1.0.4, updated May 10, 2011. After
installing the "outdated" app, I stopped window-eyes, and restarted
it with the hotkey and this time, for the first time in a couple
days, WE started normally. I haven't yet sshut down the computer and
start from scratch, but I think I will also have a successful,
non-eventful start up.
Have all the folks found AppGet to be the offending program, version
1.0.4?

1. Open App Get.
2. Press alt-v to open the view pulldown.
3. Press o to display the list of outdated apps.
4. Install any apps shown.
5. Continue until it says no outdated apps found.
