The point will soon be mute. Today all but the cheapest new computers
are 64 bit systems with prices dropping quickly. Windows XP will soon go by
the way-side as well. Sooner or later, you will get a 64 bit system so if
your in the market for a new computer today, do yourself a huge favor and
just get a 64 bit system.

Hi!
there mainly are two differences you will have to considder:
1. 64 bit can be faster if you use applications that support it. This may
be
audio editing software or other programs that need a lot of processing
power.
It also supports more ram.
2. 64 bit is not compatible to all hardware devices because of missing
drivers. So if you have some external devices you want to use, that do not
have 64 bit drivers, this may be older devices, you should not use 64 bit!
Beside that there should not be differences at all.

Subject: 32 and 64 bit question
Hi Gang,
I am getting of my old crashed xp desktop and getting a new one with
windows 7. Hope I can learn it after being so used to xp. Anyway, my
question is should I go 32 bit or 64 bit? Would there be any great
advantage of one over the other? I'm not an advanced computer user
but want to get what would be the most usable.
Thanks for any info.
