?? why should the memory and cpu be faster in the same environment if you
use 64bit instead of 32bit? This is not true.
The only difference regarding the hardware is, that the 64bit environment
can make use of more memory if it is available.

For all other improvements you will need software that supports 64bit as i
did write in my message with the audio editing example.;-) In this case you
are right, but a normal user won't get in such situations often.

in my opinion one should decide to buy a 32 bit version if he has some older
hardware devices or virtual drivers, that do not support 64bit.
If this is not the case go for 64 bit as it is the same price and may be
faster in certain situations!

except it will be faster with windows 7, a faster buss speed,faster memory,
faster sada hard drives, faster cpu.
 my p4 2.4 computer is bogging down as the programs gett bigger and bigger
with all there bloatware. even window eyes is more then twice the size it
was 5 years ago and it is bogging down my computer. even with 3gb of memory
and no extra programs running except for antivirus.
i can not leave w e loaded when i run openbook 8.  speech will studder  or
crash until i unload it
