You could add entries to the Window-Eyes character dictionary to cause it to pronounce these letters differently. Or, switch to a different synthesizer which may be easier to understand.

Yes, if I use the mouse and do the phonetics, it works, but,other times
perhaps because of my hearing, it is tough to differentiate
