I haven't tried that trick. No. I was just trying to remove this annoying
behavior of IE8. This got really bothersome.

  Hi!

I have window-eyes 7.5, XP Home, and IE 8 as well. I haven't been following
this thread so please excuse me if I'm giving you information you've already
tried.

I'm not sure why you want to delete the browsing history but you can have IE8
do it for you upon exit. Here's how.

Open the control panel and press the letter I until internet options comes up
and press enter.

Hit the tab key until the checkbox that says delete browsing history upon
exit comes up and check it with the space bar.

Then tab to OK and press enter.

Then close the control panels. You probably don't have to but I would then
reboot my computer just to make sure the changes take effect. If this doesn't
help, it's easy enough to put it back the way it was. I just took all the
default settings when I installed IE8. Another option is to reinstall IE8.

  Hope this helps you out.

  Alan

There, you'll find free files of my arrangements and performances played on

The albums in Technics format formerly on my website are still
available upon request. Thanks for listening!

Hi folks, when I open up internet explorer, my home page is set to,
    http://labs.google.com/accessible/
This is using Window eyes 7.5 and Windows xp home.
I know Steve told me to close Window eyes and then open Internet explorer
and then press f12. That turns off the developers kit. Then he said to reload
Window Eyes. I am not sure what is going on but, I have to use another screen
reader to clear the history and then reload window eyes and everything works.
Or, I shut down Window eyes, then open IE8, press alt-t for the tools, go in to
clean the history, then reload Window eyes and everything works. There has to
be something that permenately turns this off! This is getting annoying! I don't
know what else to try. I even found that with the regular Google site this
happens to. If anyone wants to help me through a remote session, I would
greatly appreciate it.
