So you can't get rid of the zoom in out mode average count stuff? I went in
and unchecked every choice and I still hear all of this stuff.
Is the next best thing to see if the problem with user windows and the
keeping of the settings has been fixed and set up a window at this area of
the status line?

Hi Shannon,
You can control what is spoken when pressing the Speak Summary hot key by
checking or unchecking the items found in Verbosity/Office/Excel/Summary.

Steve

Vaughan,
There are two settings which I believe will reduce the Excel chatter you
describe. First, under Verbosity/Office/Excel/Cell Information, set Speak
Position to never. Next, in Verbosity/Office/Excel/Miscellaneous, uncheck
the "speak worksheet name" and "speak workbook name" boxes.

Steve

Greetings everyone.
Am using Window-eyes v7.5.1 and Excel within the Office 2003 package.
Operating system is XP.
I often use the find dialogue within Excel and scroll down the items
which are found. Window-eyes always reads the full workbook name, along
with the specific cell coordinates and data. This information, which is
excessive for me, is spoken and displayed in Braille.
Am experimenting with various verbosity settings, but not having a great
deal of joy. All I want is the cell data. My inability to successfully
alter verbosity settings seems specific to the find feature of Excel.
All suggestions gratefully received and appreciated.
Thanks.
Vaughan.
